Rebecca and Thomas married on a Tuesday afternoon in September at Lairmont Manor. Their bright yellow flowers added a beautiful pop of color to the rainy day! We stayed dry with a first look under the greenery, portraits using my clear umbrella and the covered walkways, an indoor ceremony, and a dinner under Lairmont's tent on the front patio. It was a joy to work with these two again, and you can view their Bellingham engagement session here.
Claire and Matt shared a "we still do" ceremony and reception at Hotel Bellwether after eloping in 2020. This venue overlooks the bay, perfect for showing off the Bellingham scenery for their loved ones. Despite a forecast of thunderstorms, it was a bright, sunny September day--and a beautiful way to end my summer wedding season!
After sharing a small ceremony at Christianson's Nursery in 2020, Lacey and Elliott finally brought their families and friends together for part two! Their wedding at the Lady Florence was everything they had originally planned: getting ready photos, portraits, a beautiful ceremony, reception, and a night of dancing. If you love candids as much as I do, this wedding was full of them! I have so many favorite moments from their day and feel so excited to share them with you all. Scroll through to see a first look just as joyful as last year's, groomsmen dancing down the aisle, the cutest flower girl I've ever photographed, everyone's laughter at the end of the ceremony as the rain began to downpour, and magical twinkle-lit photos in the greenhouse.
Lily and Sam chose to celebrate their engagement with portraits at Mukilteo Lighthouse Beach Park near Everett. It's a special place to them and one of my favorite beaches for photos. I met Lily as Human Services students at Western and took her senior portraits several years ago. It was a joy to have her back in front of the camera again. They embraced the laughter and silliness, and I'm so glad I got to be a part of it!
Albert and Jane have spent the past year visiting each other at Peace Arch Park. Like many couples who met before the pandemic, the border closures have prevented them from crossing to see one another. Peace Arch Park is a special place that's considered neutral ground between Washington and Canada. It's a place where loved ones can come together for walks and picnics, and I'm grateful that we still have a spot to be able to capture celebrations like engagements. View some of my favorites below!
We celebrated Boo & Ky's engagement with a walk through two of their favorite spots in Bellingham, Fairhaven and Boulevard Park! I loved the special details they included and the variety of their outfits. They thoughtfully incorporated pieces from family, a handmade paper bouquet, a favorite comic book, and colors that they plan to include in their wedding. Scroll to see my favorites!
Mikaela and Grant married at the Seattle Washington Temple on a sunny May afternoon. We began their photography with a celebratory exit from the temple and finished with family and couple portraits. I love that this location has so many beautiful spaces for loved ones to gather together for photos just steps away from the parking lot!
Violet and Tara arrived to their engagement session ready to laugh and have FUN! We spent the morning wandering through Christianson's Nursery, my favorite venue in Mount Vernon, WA. They let their personalities and silliness shine, and I had the best time getting to know them. I feel so lucky they chose me to be their photographer, and I cannot wait to be a part of their upcoming Bellingham wedding!
Erika and Hunter celebrated their Fall wedding with a small ceremony and reception at Semiahmoo Resort. It was a cold afternoon, but we got to enjoy beautiful golden sunshine all day long. I loved the yellow buildings, expansive ocean views, their their cozy fireplace ceremony!
Their officiant, Shannon (Tall Red Head Girl), is one of my all time favorite vendors and officiated our own wedding several years ago! If you're looking for a funny and experienced officiant who will create a joyful ceremony customized to your story, I highly recommend Shannon.
Maddie & Stefan chose to get married with a small backyard micro wedding. We included a first look, couple portraits, a ceremony looking out at Lake Whatcom, and portraits of the two of them with their families. It was a beautiful Spring morning, and after our time together their families enjoyed a celebratory brunch! Scroll through to view my favorites!
My name is Caylie and I'm a Bellingham and Mount Vernon, WA wedding and engagement photographer. I love what I do!
