Mia and Berkly celebrated their engagement with a two-location session at some of their favorite places in Bellingham. Pictured here is part one at Elizabeth Park. It was a rare sunny February afternoon, and I loved the golden light glowing through the trees. Can't wait to create a guestbook album with these images!

Nicole and Josh arrived to their engagement session ready to embrace an hour full of laughter and candid moments! Their ability to focus on each other, have fun, and not take the day too seriously led to genuinely joyful, happy images. Teddy Bear Cove was the perfect location choice for showing off the beauty of Bellingham, and I can't wait to photograph these two again at their wedding!
Milad proposed to Javaneh while on their first vacation together to Seattle. While she had a feeling the question was coming, she couldn't have looked happier to say yes! Here we are three years later, and Milad asked me to design a custom album as a special surprise. Pictured here is their 10x10" album with a metallic silver linen cover.
It was a smoky September morning and Niel and Alesha were enjoying a walk through Peace Arch Park. Posing as a product photographer for a puzzle company, I stopped them and asked if they would help me with a few shots. Niel and I had carefully planned the proposal in advance, and he got down on one knee after she read the puzzle's special message. She happily pulled off her mask, said yes, and we celebrated with an engagement session!
Claire and Nate are engaged and I'm so excited to tag along for the journey! If these two look familiar, I photographed them back in 2016 at the same location. My style has grown and changed, but Claire and Nate are as silly and smiley as they were in our first session together. Their ability to focus on each other, not take the photos too seriously, laugh, and just enjoy each other's company led to genuinely happy photos full of memories. I can't wait to be a part of their wedding next summer!
Since Rebecca and Thomas's wedding consult took place over video call, their engagement session gave us a great opportunity to meet in person and get to know each other better! We took a walk through Fairhaven (my favorite area of Bellingham) and then drove down the street to Woodstock Farm for a view of the sunset.
Jenny and Eric celebrated their recent proposal by booking an engagement session and a vacation to San Juan Island! It was important to them to capture the beauty that Washington has to offer, and we couldn't have picked a better day to do that. Growing up I loved visiting all the beaches, eating ice cream in Friday Harbor, and walking through the gardens in Roche Harbor. The islands will always be a special place to me, and I loved exploring Lime Kiln Park with these two!
Carla and Kevin chose to take their engagement photos among the greenhouses, gardens, and schoolhouse of Christianson's Nursery in Mount Vernon. Christianson's Nursery is one of my favorite places to be, and it doubles as a small wedding venue! Vinny and I got married behind the schoolhouse a couple years ago, surrounded by hydrangeas, rose gardens, and our closest family and friends. It photographs beautifully, and I highly recommend it if you're planning a small celebration or portrait session!
After spending a year and a half apart during Tara's mission trip, Keegan and Tara are engaged! We celebrated with an engagement session at St. Edwards Park where we took their first portraits together two years ago. Scroll to see a handful of my favorites from this happy rainy day!
To celebrate Elyssa & Curtis's engagement, we traveled around Bellingham for a three-part engagement session. We started at Baby Greens downtown and then dashed into Lafeen's Donuts as the temperatures dropped and the rain started to fall. Lafeen's has the best donuts in town, perfect for a date with a special someone. If you're looking for a fun dessert option at your wedding, Lafeen's does large orders, too! We picked up 10 boxes for our own wedding and let's just say there weren't any leftovers. :)
