Last summer I had a very special opportunity to document Brian and Anni's birth photography. They wanted someone they could trust, who would focus on the love and connections of all the people bringing Eliana into this world. They wanted photos of their joy, their happy tears, and photos of them being there for each other. I had never been present for a birth, let alone photographed one, but Brian and Anni trusted me to give it a try, and I'm so glad they did! Little Eliana took her time, and when she finally arrived, there were so many big emotions in the room. Everyone cried, myself included, and to put it simply: it was amazing. On-call birth photography can be tricky, especially for wedding photographers. I'm so thankful I was able to make it to this one! Going forward, this is something I'll only be able to offer for babies born January through April. After Eliana was born, I came back to the hospital later in the day for what's commonly known as "Fresh 48" photos: photos taken in the hospital within 48 hours after the baby is born. I think it's really important and special to capture these first moments together as a family, and I'm so excited to be able to offer these kind of sessions year round (especially for my previous wedding clients!). Welcome to the world, Eliana!
