This was such a dreamy engagement session! Amanda, Casey, and I explored Hovander Park during golden hour in August. We included two outfits, the expansive grassy fields, tree-lined pathways, and all the colorful dahlias and sunflowers.

What a fun Spring engagement session! We started by walking throughout the Village Green and cute alleys of Fairhaven. Still early in the morning, it felt like we had the town to ourselves! We captured all the twinkle lights and cherry blossoms, then took a short trip to Chuckanut Drive for part two. Woodstock has trails full of greenery and gorgeous view of Bellingham Bay. We left with so many sweet options for their save the dates, and I'm excited to share my favorites here!
Madison and Michael now live on the East Coast and are traveling across the country for a Pacific Northwest engagement and wedding! They both grew up here, and Larrabee State Park was the perfect place to capture the feeling of Washington. It was such a beautiful morning for their photos, and I can't wait to get them back in front of the camera for their upcoming wedding!
Danielle and Clay love spending time in the outdoors, so we drove up to Mount Baker to capture that sense of adventure in their engagement portraits! It was a gorgeous day at the end of September, and all of the bright reds and oranges really popped against the dreamy foggy sky. It makes me so happy to know they have these joyful photos together for their home and save-the-dates, and I can't wait for their Bellingham wedding later this year!
Claire and Conner chose a two-location engagement session at two of their favorite parks in Bellingham, Boulevard and Whatcom Falls! We started along the boardwalk where Conner proposed, took a stroll through Fairhaven, and then drove across town. It was a foggy morning in early October, and the fall leaves added such a fun pop of color against the bay!
Kate and Stephen chose a two-location session along Bellingham Bay for their engagement photos! Beginning shortly after sunrise on a Spring morning, we captured the beauty of the trees and water along Chuckanut Drive and their passion for biking at the pump tracks. This was such a fun way to celebrate their love for each other and the outdoors, and I'm so excited to photograph their wedding!
Gerald and I planned a surprise proposal and engagement session at Boulevard Park. He and Hannah were visiting Bellingham for the week, and he wanted the special moments captured on camera for her. After he proposed, I introduced myself and we took a walk through the boardwalk and Fairhaven. It was a beautiful memory, and I'm so glad I got to be a part of it!
1. Celebrate and enjoy this time together
Congrats!! The choice to get married is so exciting. Before jumping into wedding planning, take a week or two to celebrate together and focus on why you’ve chosen each other. Over the next few months of decisions, that “why” is what it all comes back to. Enjoy the moments when you personally get to share your news with close friends and family. It’s happening! Bellingham Engagement & Wedding Photographer; Flower Field Couple Photography: Madison & Jimmy2/6/2022 I've been photographing Madison and Jimmy since 2016! They both value documenting their lives through photos, and I've had the joy of photographing their engagement, wedding, one-year wedding anniversary, and a snowy couple session up on Mount Baker. Two of my longest clients and biggest supporters, it's been such a gift to get to know them over the years. This time around, they wanted a Bellingham sunset session in the flower fields. We captured these on a smoky August evening, and I love all the bright, golden colors in these images. Scroll to see my top favorites from their session!
Christianson's Nursery Mount Vernon Couple and Family Photography: 2020 & 2021 Mini Sessions1/30/2022 Christianson's Nursery in Mount Vernon is one of my favorite places for portraits and weddings. The gardens and greenhouses photograph beautifully and keep my clients warm and dry year-round. It's always special to be back at the place where we got married, and it brings me so much joy when couples choose me to capture their celebrations here, too. As I prep for my May mini sessions, I've brought together a handful of favorites from the past two seasons.
