Kelsey and PJ married this weekend in a beautiful backyard wedding overlooking Bellingham Bay. It was such an honor to be invited back into this family after capturing her sister's wedding last summer. Everyone had a hand in creating this celebration for them. Her dad built the arch for their ceremony with flowers grown and arranged by their friends. In an emotional and powerful moment, each guest stood and shared promises to the couple before their own vows. Her sister's friends and in-laws set up the decor and worked the reception. With a relatively small guest count, they were able to spend time with all of them. It was a gorgeous day full of sweet moments, and for the first time I'm sharing the preview photos here with you all! Stay tuned for the rest!

What a fun and colorful wedding! Hailey and Ross previously shared a small elopement but still wanted to celebrate with their friends and families. They gathered together at Van Wyck Farm in Bellingham, and every piece of their day felt relaxed and joyful. They greeted all of their guests for pre-ceremony cocktails, enjoyed an incredible appetizer bar from Black Sheep, and brought everyone onto the dance floor before dinner. Weddings contain so many optional elements, and I'm a big encourager that you can puzzle piece them together in whichever order feels best for you. Hailey's sister is a talented wedding planner from California, and she matched their upbeat wedding with a bright and juicy color palette! I can't wait for you all to see these...
What a fun Spring engagement session! We started by walking throughout the Village Green and cute alleys of Fairhaven. Still early in the morning, it felt like we had the town to ourselves! We captured all the twinkle lights and cherry blossoms, then took a short trip to Chuckanut Drive for part two. Woodstock has trails full of greenery and gorgeous view of Bellingham Bay. We left with so many sweet options for their save the dates, and I'm excited to share my favorites here!
A couple of Anna and Riley's friends surprised them by booking rehearsal dinner photography. They knew there was no better wedding gift than photos of these special memories! I arrived to their backyard celebration before dinner, captured candids and spontaneous portrait requests, and then we went right into toasts shortly after everyone was seated. Their parents shared stories and thank you's, and loved ones performed ukulele as the sun set. Anna and Riley are two of the nicest people, and it was such a joy to spend some extra time with them before their wedding!
Anna and Riley shared a sunny July wedding at the Hotel Bellwether in Bellingham. They both have a love of boats and being out on the water, and this was the perfect waterfront venue to include that for all their friends and family. Some even boated to the wedding, giving us opportunities to use the marina for portraits. We had a big group, and everyone showed up ready to celebrate, laugh, and make memories. This made for great candids throughout the entire evening, and an incredible dance floor! This blog is an extra long one, and I'm happy to finally share so many of my favorites with you all!
Madison and Michael now live on the East Coast and are traveling across the country for a Pacific Northwest engagement and wedding! They both grew up here, and Larrabee State Park was the perfect place to capture the feeling of Washington. It was such a beautiful morning for their photos, and I can't wait to get them back in front of the camera for their upcoming wedding!
Valerie & Tara booked me for their wedding years ago, and I've been looking forward to this ever since their engagement session! They chose to get married at Lairmont Manor on a fall afternoon, serving a spread of appetizers and desserts to their family and friends. They incorporated red elements throughout their celebration to honor Chinese traditions, such as the custom sash on Tara's dress. These two are clearly so happy together, and it was an absolute joy to be a part of their day!
Claire and Conner chose a two-location engagement session at two of their favorite parks in Bellingham, Boulevard and Whatcom Falls! We started along the boardwalk where Conner proposed, took a stroll through Fairhaven, and then drove across town. It was a foggy morning in early October, and the fall leaves added such a fun pop of color against the bay!
The Farm at Van Wyck was the perfect Bellingham venue for Kate and Stephen's wedding! They wanted a rustic outdoor space to celebrate with a couple hundred of their favorite people, and the entire day was such a joy to be a part of. They chose bright summery florals and included personalized elements throughout the day like stickers, pint glasses, and an entire wall of photos. One of the pieces Kate and Stephen looked forward to most was the dance floor, and DJ Scoob once again got everyone on their feet! Sit back and scroll through my favorites from this August wedding...
Kate and Stephen chose a two-location session along Bellingham Bay for their engagement photos! Beginning shortly after sunrise on a Spring morning, we captured the beauty of the trees and water along Chuckanut Drive and their passion for biking at the pump tracks. This was such a fun way to celebrate their love for each other and the outdoors, and I'm so excited to photograph their wedding!
